White Pigeon is a village located in St. Joseph County, close to the Michigan-Indiana border. U.S. Route 12 and U.S. Route 131 intersect here, making it a pivotal point for local travel. The village is perhaps best known for the White Pigeon Prairie, a historically significant prairie land that played a role in Native American history. Additionally, the White Pigeon Municipal Airport caters to small, private flights and is located off Lake Road. For outdoor activities, Klinger Lake is a short drive away and is popular for fishing and boating. The local school system includes White Pigeon Community Schools which offers both elementary and high school educational programs.
