Marshall is located northeast of Battle Creek and is renowned for its historical significance and excellently preserved 19th-century architecture. A stroll through the Historic Landmark District is almost like a trip back in time, with over 850 buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In terms of transportation, Marshall is well-connected; Interstate 69 runs along the eastern boundary of the city, connecting it to Battle Creek to the southwest and Charlotte to the northeast. Meanwhile, Michigan Avenue (also known as M-96) cuts across the town, serving as the main thoroughfare for both commercial and residential activities. This route provides easy access to local shopping, dining, and other services and leads directly to downtown Battle Creek when traveled westward.
