Climax lies to the east of Scotts and is a rural village known for its farming community. The Climax-Scotts Community Schools serve as the educational backbone of the village. The village hosts the annual Climax Prairie Festival, celebrating local culture and agriculture. Though small, the village has basic amenities such as grocery stores and cafes, primarily centered around the intersection of ON Avenue and South Main Street, which also serve as the main thoroughfares.
